Originally formed under the name of Sandstorm Productions in 2006 Pop Smoke, LLC was officially created in April 2010 by Tim Randles and other key members of the Mare Nostrum development team shortly after the announcement of our new Project 'In Country: Vietnam'

The majority of our team have worked together on the highly respected 2008 modification 'Mare Nostrum'. This subsequently became the first ever non-source engine mod released over Steam. Some of us work, or have previously worked, in the games industry as professionals – on titles such as: 'Red Orchestra: Ostront 41-45' and 'The Spire'. Others are more fresh faced and keen to break into the industry and the rest are seasoned ‘modders’ with at least one successful release under their belts.
Here at Pop Smoke, our goal is simple; to develop innovative and realistic gaming content.
At the moment we are deep in production on our newest project, 'In Country: Vietnam' for Red Orchestra 2, which we will release at some stage in 2013.
